TOWN OF MANCHESTER, VERMONT EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES The Town of Manchester, VT is accepting applications for a full-time with Department of Public Works.
Department of Public Works (DPW) Associate The Department of Public Works is responsible for maintenance, repairs, and operation associated with Town-owned roads and highways and associated rights of way, bridges, culverts, and sidewalks, along with the operation associated with the maintenance, repair, improvement, and cleaning of Town buildings, grounds and parks.
The successful candidate will be able to fulfill all duties listed above and be able to work nights and weekends, especially during the winter months.
They must have a strong work ethic and work history, along with a versatile skill set and a can-do attitude.
A Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) is preferred, but not required.
Town Assessor The Town Assessor is responsible for the oversight and management of the Town's property tax assessment functions, valuation of all properties, and producing of the Town's annual Grand List.
The ability to attain and maintain a certification from IAAO or the Vermont Property Appraisal Level IV is required, along with a Bachelor's degree or equivalent length of education and experience.
Assistant Director of Parks and Recreation The Assistant Director of Parks and Recreation is responsible for initiating, planning, organizing, scheduling, monitoring and conducting comprehensive recreation/ educational programs for all ages including, but not limited to, indoor and outdoor recreational programs, special events, senior citizen programs and community activities.
This position is also responsible for the summer camp program.
